Andy Fry, P.E., S.E., LEED AP, is the Chief Operating Officer of Magnusson Klemencic Associates, a 190-person, award-winning structural and civil engineering firm headquartered in Seattle, Washington, with offices in Chicago, Shanghai, and Riyadh. Andy became C.O.O. in June 2012, following a successful 15-year career of project management at MKA. Since transitioning from his role as a project manager specializing in high-rise buildings and leading large teams of engineers, he has collaborated with senior leadership to oversee a 30% growth in employees, a successful transition of ownership within the firm, and the introduction of Synthesis as the firm’s new intranet. Andy focuses on equipping engineers with the collective knowledge of the firm, leveraging the expertise of internal technical specialist teams and design leaders to advance the firm’s reputation of providing cutting-edge, innovative designs.
